iPhone 5 vs. the World: How Apple’s Device Stacks Up?

BY: Denzel Butler

Apple’s iPhone 5 features a larger display, more powerful processor and 4G LTE connectivity, but does that mean it’s also the most advanced smart phone ever? I do not think so, according to the specs  the iPhone 5's Retina Display is  one of the sharpest screens on the smart phone market. However, it falls short of the Nokia Lumia 920, which features a 4.5-inch 1280 x 768 display, and as well as the Motorola Droid RAZR HD Maxx. The video below shows an in depth comparison between the Nokia Lumia 920 and the iPhone 5.

From this video I believe the Nokia Lumia is a better phone. Another debate is between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 5, personally I believe the S3 is superior but this video will give incite to let you be the judge.

I do not believe that the iPhone 5 is the most advanced smart phone on the market, I believe there are at least 3 other phones, at least spec wise, that are better. I am in no way saying that the iPhone 5 is a bad product it is a great product, it is just not the greatest.

  1. The argument about the iphone being the best has been discussed a lot lately. I personally believe that the Iphone isn't the "best" phone out but the fan base is there to support it and that's what matters for the company. Iphone's operating system is unique and favorable to a large majority.

  2. Apple just needs to hurry up and come out with the iphone 5s or iPhone 6. some of these phones are really starting to catch up or do better in some areas then the iPhone. All n' all though the iPhone still is the best though.

  3. Lately, Apple has been battling new and improved phones from their respective competitors. Even though I support any new innovation up to date, Apple still remains strong in the market due to it's showing of consistency in supporting titles and apps around the world. I must say that the new phones being brought will bring the best out of Apple and spark a great race to win.

  4. The debate regarding the "best" smartphone has been going on for years. Personally, I believe that determining which smartphone is the "best" is up to each individual user. As newer smartphones are produced, the companies producing them find ways to copy software and hardware from one another. Because of this, many of the phones are the same at the core. The real difference comes into play when the users determine which type of phone is the easiest for them to use personally.

  5. Along with all other products that meet the market, the Apple Iphone does not meet all preferences to satisfactory for all consumers. However, I believe Apple has done a better job than competitors branding their device. Therefore, speaking on performance the majority will more likely side with Apple.

  6. The argument of the iphone being the best smartphone has been discussed and debated a lot. Apple already has a great brand and is slowly taking over the market with all of its products including tablets, macbooks, and desktops. Apple needs to find a way to advance technology in smartphones and really distinguish themselves as the best. Hopefully upcoming products will reflect this.
